Terms of Use

The terms that govern use of this website, our contact channels, and business messaging on WhatsApp.

Effective August 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RTZ Labs website, its contact forms, and any communication channel we operate — including business messaging on WhatsApp. By using the site or contacting us through any of these channels, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

RTZ Labs is a Site Reliability Engineering and platform reliability consultancy working remotely with engineering teams across the United States and Canada. Throughout these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to RTZ Labs; "you" refers to the person or organization using the site or contacting us.

2. What this site is

This website describes our services, our technical expertise, and our published writing. It is informational. Nothing on it is an offer, a binding quote, or professional advice for your specific environment, and no engagement exists until it is agreed in a separate written contract signed by both parties.

Any engagement we do enter into is governed by that contract. Where its terms conflict with these Terms, the signed contract prevails for that engagement.

3. Acceptable use

You may browse the site, read and share our published material, and contact us about work. You agree not to:

  • use the site or our messaging channels for any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose;
  • send us content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its infrastructure, or any connected system;
  • interfere with the availability of the site, including through automated traffic that degrades service;
  • impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
  • use our contact channels to send unsolicited advertising, spam, or bulk messaging.

4. Business messaging on WhatsApp

We may communicate with you over WhatsApp when you ask us to, when you provide your phone number for that purpose, or when you message our business number first. We use WhatsApp for business correspondence — answering questions, scoping work, scheduling, and updates related to an engagement.

What you can expect from us on that channel:

  • We message you only after you opt in or contact us first. We do not send marketing broadcasts to numbers that have not opted in.
  • Message frequency varies with the conversation. There is no fixed schedule.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, by telling us in the conversation, or by writing to contact@rtzlabs.io. We will stop sending messages to that number.
  • We do not charge for messaging us. Your mobile carrier or internet provider may charge for data.
  • Never send credentials, secrets, API keys, or sensitive personal data over WhatsApp. We will never ask for them there.
  • WhatsApp is operated by Meta, not by us. Your use of it is also subject to Meta’s own terms and policies, and messages travel through Meta’s infrastructure.

5. Information you send us

When you contact us through a form, by email, or by WhatsApp, you send us information such as your name, contact details, and a description of what you are working on. You are responsible for having the right to share whatever you send, and for not including confidential material belonging to a third party without authorization.

We use what you send only to respond to you and to evaluate and deliver the work discussed. We do not sell it. Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy, available on request at contact@rtzlabs.io.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, articles, diagrams, code samples, design, and the RTZ Labs name and marks — belongs to RTZ Labs or is used with permission, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.

You may read, quote, and link to our published material with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale, present it as your own, or use our name or marks to imply endorsement or partnership without our written permission. Code samples published on this site may be used freely in your own systems, at your own risk.

7. Third-party services and links

The site links to external resources and relies on third-party services for hosting, analytics, and messaging. We do not control those services or the sites we link to, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Their own terms apply when you use them.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the site available and current, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including any communication channel, at any time and without notice.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the site and its content — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Technical material on this site describes patterns and practices in general terms. Production systems differ. Applying anything you read here to your own infrastructure is your decision and your responsibility, and you should validate it against your own environment before relying on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — this site or our communication channels.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as our services or legal obligations change. The revised version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the effective date above is updated to match. Continuing to use the site or our messaging channels after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RTZ Labs is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless a signed engagement contract between us provides otherwise.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms, requests relating to your data, or opt-out requests for messaging can be sent to contact@rtzlabs.io. We reply within one business day.
